Swimming Pool general notes

  • Fountain fixtures do not require Shock Hazard testing.
  • No rock guards available for safety reasons.
  • Fixtures do not face upward. This to avoid finger entrapment.
  • These fixtures are available with 12VDC or 120VAC, but not 277V input power. 12VDC is most desirable, because of safety (not currently standard but will be by start of FY19).  Check with local jurisdiction for voltage limitations (example, New York and Florida).
  • Require GFI; Ground Fault Interrupter
  • For European applications always use 12V
  • Examples: Salt Water Pools, Dive tanks and Aquariums
  • We can provide Marine Grade niches as an RFD
  • Swimming pools come with power cord standard length of 35ft but can be ordered up to 150ft maximum in increments of 5ft.
  • Swimming pool fixtures will require Deck Boxes and Hydrel can provide them, installer does not need to buy it from us. Our models are 1710 and 1711.
  • 4800 Swimming pool fixture comes in Square and Round. In the case it was bought Round and the customer wants to change to Square it could be achieve by rotating the lens by 90 degrees (losing up the screws on the ring) and getting the Square Bezel.  However, it is not possible for the customer to change the Square to Round in the field.
