To have exterior lights off during the day and on at night, here is what to do:
1. Create an off profile.
A. Select the Profiles tab
B. Select New
C. Give the profile a name (i.e. Exterior Off)
D. Select the exterior lights in the left hand column
E. Create a time for the schedule to run. Typically, it would run Daily from Sunrise to Sunset. To get those settings, click the ASTR box.
F. Click on Add a Setting on the right hand side
G. Click on Override and select Override Off
H. Click Save
2. Change the default settings of the exterior lights.
A. Select the Network Management tab
B. Select the exterior lights in the left hand column
C. Click on Add a Setting
D. Click on Override and select Override On
This is the basic way to set up exterior lights. A few things to keep in mind. When you are finished programming the lights, click on Profiles, select the Exterior Off profile and click Run if it is desired to have the lights off at that time (if programming is done during the daytime hours, the lights will be on when you are finished). Second, if there is second time for the lights to be off (i.e. from 1am to 5am), you would click on New in the Scheduler section (under the Profiles tab) and put in the desired second schedule.
