When replacing a GR2400 DTC you must consider this information

What kind of modem:

Nucom                 Identified by:

                                DTC connection is a RJ-11.

Connects to DTC with a RJ-11 Terminal.

This take 12vdc from the 1-4 bus connector.

There is no replacement for this modem.

Connects to DTC with a RJ-11 terminal.

This modem will not connect to the current DTC. When replacing the DTC the modem also needs to be replaced.

 

Pegasus               Identified by:

DTC connection is a RJ-11.

Connects to DTC with a RJ-11 Terminal.

Connects to the control card at the 5vdc terminal by the bus sockets.                            

This modem will not connect to the current DTC. When replacing the DTC this modem also           needs to be replaced.

 

                                RJ Modem RS232 Protocol           Identified by:

DTC connection is a RJ-11.

Connects to DTC with a RJ-11 Terminal.

Connects to the control card at the 5vdc terminal by the bus sockets.                            

This modem will not connect to the current DTC. When replacing the DTC this modem also           needs to be replaced.

 

 

                                RJ Modem TTL Protocol                Identified by:

                                DTC and power connection is a single 4 wire to the DTC no wires to the

control card.

This is the current production DTC.

The current DTC can be replaced without replacing the modem.
