Pole Field Modifications

If a customer wants to add drilling to an existing pole in the field, it can be done as long as it does not exceed 3/4" in diameter, is at least 30” from the pole base and at least 12” from any other openings in the pole, i.e. festoons, extra hand holes or other drillings.  If the pole is steel, a zinc-rich paint should be applied to the exposed metal to resist future corrosion.

If the above procedures are followed, the pole will retain its original warranty.
