nLight Gateway Astronomical Profiles: Why Do My Astronomical Profiles Run A Few Hours Off?

If nLight astronomical profiles appear to be running a few hours early/late, there are a couple items to verify:

  • Verify the Gateway time is correct.  This can be verified directly from the Gateway interface, or via the SensorView Gateway properties page.
  • Verify the Gateway time zone and location are both correct.  If you are located in the PST time zone, but set your location for a location in the EST time zone, this will result in astronomical scheduled profiles being off by three hours.  You will be able to see this by viewing the programmed schedules on the "Schedules" tab, as the schedule will appear shifted.
