nIO RLX: What Programming S-Codes Are Available On The nIO RLX?

The following programming functions are available on the nIO RLX

A-Level, S-Code 19 = Dimming Rate – Time it takes to dim from one extreme to the other:

  1. Slowest (15 seconds)
  2. Slow (7.5 seconds)
  3. Normal (5 seconds) (Factory Default)
  4. Fast (3.75 seconds)
  5. Fastest (3 seconds)

A-Level, S-Code 28 = nIO RLX Operating Type - How the lights will react to a contact closure input to the nIO RLX:

  1. Dimming Only
  2. On/Off Only
  3. On/Off and Dimming

To change one of the above programming settings, use the following steps:

  1. With the nIO RLX installed and powered up (units powers itself via bus power from neighboring nLight devices), push the programming button the appropriate number of times to enter the function (dimming rate = 19, operating mode = 28).
  2. Unit LED will flash back the current setting 3 times based on the below settings:
    1. Dimming Rate:
      1. Slowest (15 seconds)
      2. Slow (7.5 seconds)
      3. Normal (5 seconds)
      4. Fast (3.75 seconds)
      5. Fastest (3 seconds)
    2. Operating Mode:
      1. Dimming Only
      2. On/Off Only
      3. On/Off and Dimming (Factory Default)
  3. To change the setting, interrupt the current setting flashback by pushing the button the desired number of times for the new setting (i.e. if changing the operating mode, push the button 2 times to set for “on/off” only)
  4. New setting will flash back 3 times to confirm the change has been made

The following programming is also available for the nIO RLX:

B-Level, S-Code 9 = Switch Broadcast:

  1. Enable (Factory Default)
  2. Disable

B-Level, S-Code 10 = Switch Broadcasting Channel:

  • 1-16 = Channel 1-16
