Shade quits operating after a few minutes of identify operation

Shade motors often come equipped with thermal protection. If a shade is continuously operated for extended amounts of time (i.e. identifying it for too long), it may go into thermal protection. During this time, the motor will become inoperable and will not respond to control commands. The motor will need to cool for some amount of time before it begins to respond to control commands again. Consult your motorized shade’s manual for cool off times.
